Gauge and needle size are a starting point rather than a rule. Always knit or crochet a swatch and adjust your hook or needle size to suit your pattern and the fabric you want to create.

A special note about caring for Cicada

Cicada is different from our other Prosper yarns, so please follow its specific care instructions rather than assuming your usual yarn-care routine applies.

Cotton yarns are a little different, and require different care than wool. We recommend cold water wash with gentle, Ph neutral detergent. Never use harsh stain removers or spot cleaning your final objects. Wash with like colours and line dry. It's very similar to caring for Garment Dyed clothing.

A little extra care will help you enjoy your finished project for seasons to come.
