Sophie Scarf Kit
All you need to knit a soft, stylish, merino Sophie Scarf: super soft Merino wool, stitch markers, tapestry needle, & a printed pattern (PDF is also emailed). You can even add a set of high quality circular 3.5mm bamboo needles.
The Sophie Scarf is worked back and forth in one piece, from tip to tip in garter stitch with built-in i-cord edges. The smaller size Sophie Scarf reaches around the neck once, while the larger size can wrap around the neck twice.
Instructions for doing the striped version are included in those kits.
The large version in a striped colourway requires 30g of each colour so we’ve included 2 mini skeins in each colour.
Sizes: small (large)
Length from tip to tip: approx. 80 (102) cm [31½ (40¼) inches]
Width at center: 11 (13) cm [4¼ (5) inches]
Gauge: 22 sts x 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] in garter stitch on a 3.5 mm [US4] needle
Needles: 3.5 mm [US4] / 60 cm [24 inches] circular needle
Please note: we purchase patterns from the designer through Ravelry in your name, sent to your email address, and can even deposit them into your Raverly library if you include your Raverly user name in the notes section of your order.
We try our best to make our photos as accurate as possible but every screen displays colour slightly differently, so we cannot guarantee complete accuracy. Hand-dyed yarns vary from one batch to the next so there will always be some variation between the photo and each individual skein.
Part of the hand dyed allure is each skein's individuality. This gives final objects depth and nuance. With this in mind we recommend alternating skeins (every other row in flat knitting and every row in circular knitting) on larger projects creating a more cohesive blend.
