Pima Cotton Dishcloth Kit
This satisfying dishcloth kit features one 100 gram/ 225 meter skein of natural, untreated, Pima Cotton Double Knit yarn and the option of adding professional, high quality 7mm circular needles. You can also use 6.5 or 6mm for a tighter fabric.
Depending on your gauge, this kit can make up to three dishcloths.
The pattern, as featured in Good Magazine Issue 81 June/July 2022 is simple: cast on 25 stitches, knit 20 rows or enough to make a square, cast off.
You can add fancy bits like an i-cord loop to hang your dishcloth up to dry. Just begin the i-cord with the last three stitches of your bind off row. See this great photo tutorial: https://www.purlsoho.com/create/i-cord/
nb: Pima cotton has longer, silkier fibres and produce a luxuriously soft fabric that is also incredibly strong. It’s resistant to fraying, tearing, pilling, wrinkling, and fading.
We try our best to make our photos as accurate as possible but every screen displays colour slightly differently, so we cannot guarantee complete accuracy. Hand-dyed yarns vary from one batch to the next so there will always be some variation between the photo and each individual skein.
Part of the hand dyed allure is each skein's individuality. This gives final objects depth and nuance. With this in mind we recommend alternating skeins (every other row in flat knitting and every row in circular knitting) on larger projects creating a more cohesive blend.
