Welcome to our inaugural sock club, ‘There’s No Place Like Home’. We are so happy to have you here!

We are starting off our journey through local New Zealand yarns with our take on the iconic lucky red socks. These were made famous by Sir Peter Blake after Team New Zealand’s America's Cup win in 1995. Since then, the red sock has become a symbol of the Kiwi spirit and good luck! As an added bonus, it also gives great midwinter Christmas vibes.

Our lofty base this month is made with South Island Merino for softness, Possum for its glorious halo and nylon for strength. The dark colour of the possum fur adds moody undertones to this vibrant tonal colourway. As it’s woollen spun, you have plenty of flexibility with gauge.

We’re knitting our Possum Sock up using Stephen West’s Dustland Socks pattern - a sweater for your feet! Perfect for snuggling up at home, or keeping cosy while dashing to the shops. Can’t wait to see what you do with your special skein!

Happy making x
Prosper Team
