New Zealand Wool Yarn – Locally Sourced, Beautifully Hand-Dyed

Discover the beauty of New Zealand wool yarn at Prosper Yarn. We seek out exceptional wool from Aotearoa New Zealand’s local growers and mills, then bring it to life with the rich, nuanced colours of our Auckland hand-dyeing studio.

From soft, bouncy merino to characterful New Zealand lambswool, our collection celebrates the quality of local fibres and the people who produce them. Whether you’re knitting a favourite sweater, a cosy cardigan, a warm hat or a special gift, you’ll find beautiful yarns chosen for their feel, quality and potential.

We believe great yarn deserves great care, from the fibre’s origins to the finished skein. By choosing locally grown and milled wool wherever we can, we support New Zealand’s fibre industry while creating distinctive yarns for makers who value quality, colour and craftsmanship.
