Yarn Advent Calendar
Each of these hand-dyed yarn advent calendars will have individual, numbered, eco-wrapped skeins that will work well as a set. There will be some of Prosper's signature favourites as well as new colours created to complete the palette. The full size skein(s) work harmoniously as a backdrop for the minis in larger projects like shawls and sweaters.
Our theme this year is Prosper. We've been talking a lot about themes and the effect they have on our process and creativity, and I thought why not lean in to our own style? What if this set encouraged me to explore and enjoy the reason I started Prosper: create and share unique, gorgeous yarns with talented and passionate makers, and form a supportive community!
I want to have fun with this, be myself, and dye an incredible set of yarn for you (and me, teehee) that feels and looks like Prosper. This means there will be semi-solids, and our famous (in NZ) hand painted speckled minis co-mingling! There will be neutrals with bright pops, and an amazing flow from one mini to the next. But wait there's more! There will also be a wee gift bundled in - made by one of my favourite New Zealand makers, and some little bits of fun.
Choose from 12 or 24 days of 20g mini skeins, and add a full sized 100g skein (or two) if you like.
Quantities are slightly increased this year as now I have two elves! So the listing should last more than a week this time, right? Fingers crossed.
This item does qualify for the lay-buy option, and members - use that discount!
We try our best to make our photos as accurate as possible but every screen displays colour slightly differently, so we cannot guarantee complete accuracy. Hand-dyed yarns vary from one batch to the next so there will always be some variation between the photo and each individual skein.
Part of the hand dyed allure is each skein's individuality. This gives final objects depth and nuance. With this in mind we recommend alternating skeins (every other row in flat knitting and every row in circular knitting) on larger projects creating a more cohesive blend.
